Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This is my friend Shiela's little girl, Lexi. She just turned 8 months old. She is so cute and so smart!! I thought this pic made for the perfect St. Patty’s Day post:)
As a side note, I heard a funny Irish saying on the news this morning:
"In the banister of life, may the splinters always be pointed in the right direction"
I think we all hope for that!!

Happy Birthday, Payten!!

Wally's little granddaughter, Payten, turned TWO years old today!
I took these pictures from Ammie's blog to post because they are so stinkin' cute!

She is such a blessing to have around and such a sweet little girl! We don't get down to see her as often as we'd like, but when we do we try to soak up every minute of it. She has grown up so much during this past year, transitioning from a baby to a full grown toddler. We were so happy to hear that she has been seizure-free since Thanksgiving of last year!

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAYTEN!!

Fun at the Whatcott's

While Natalie and Alan are away, the Whatcott family has been watching Megan after school each day until I am able to pick her up after work. She has had so much fun!
On Monday, they made me a cake:

On Tuesday, they played dress up:

I can only imagine what will be in store for her today!!

Peace

Natalie and Alan are off to sunny Florida until next Thursday—lucky dogs! Actually, Alan worked very hard to win the trip for being so exceptional at his job. My mom and I are “playing parent” to the kids while they’re gone. Not too hard of a task—they are good kids who do most things for themselves. Today was pajama day at Derek and Megan’s school (or at least that is what they told me!) I love that Meg will pose for a picture anytime, anywhere and really ham it up. I didn’t ask Derek to pose. I figure at his age he’s probably too cool for a pj day photo.

While Wally was home last week, we had a little birthday dinner for his daughter, Brandy. He was also able to see he oldest son, Zac, as well as his mom and several of his friends. We tried to fit in as much time as possible together during the three days he was at home. Unfortunately, I had to work for two of those days, but we managed to soak in as much as we could before he went back on the road. He's currently in Tenessee en route to Pennsylvania.

Happy Birthday, Brandy!!!

Wally's daughter, Brandy, turns 23 today.
HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
We love you!

I can’t believe that you are now 23 years old! I certainly enjoy the time we spend together, which unfortunately isn’t enough these days. I am so proud of you and I hope that you will always find happiness. I am very blessed to have such wonderful children and it has been amazing for me to watch how fast you have grown up. Please know how much your dad loves you and supports you in all that you do. Have a great day and may you have a memorable birthday with many more to come!

With love,
Dad
