St. Louis, Baybee!

While out on the road, Wally got to visit the town of his beloved St. Louis Rams. He was able to see the football stadium where all of the unfortunate losses took place last year and he got a pretty good picture of the St. Louis Arch. He wasn’t able to ride the tram that goes to the top, but he was pretty happy to see it up close and personal!

Happy Birthday, Sammy!

Today is Wally's Mom's birthday. Happy, Happy Birthday, Sammy!! Wally is out of town, but sent this message to post for his mom's birthday:

I want you to know how much I truly love and respect you. I know how much you have sacrificed for me and I am so grateful that you are my mother. You are my hero!!! Wally’s mom is an exceptional woman. She gives and gives to everyone around her without ever asking for anything in return. The amount of time she spends doing for others is more than I can measure. She has such a sweet personality and a very kind heart. I am so lucky to have her as my mother-in-law! We hope you have an enjoyable, relaxing birthday!!

Fourth of July

We have had a busy weekend! Wally was able to have some hometime over the holiday weekend, which has been great!! We made a Costco trip on Saturday followed by UFC fight night, had a bbq at his mom's on Sunday, went out to lunch and up to Red Butte Gardens on Monday, visited with more family on Tuesday, and somewhere in between he saw quite a few of his friends and spent some much needed couch time in front of the tv. Whew! It's always a whirlwind when he comes home as we are always trying to fit in everything in only a few days of time. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Happy Birthday, Janet!!

Happy Birthday to my stepmom, Janet! I hardly have any pictures of Janet because she loves to hide from the camera! She is so good for my dad and has always been very kind to my sister and I. She is a thoughtful and generous person who is always thinking of others. She makes me feel so welcome in their home and their lives. She is the best mom to their two dogs, Hoss and Ellie. She loves animals, is a wonderful gardener, an extremely hard worker, and a soon-to-be retiree!! She does so much for her family, especially her mother. She has been her caretaker for so many years, never asking for anything in return. She is determined, supportive, sincere and loving to those around her. We are so grateful to have her in our lives! Happy, Happy Birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORI!!

Lori is Wally’s youngest sister. She is a fun sister-in-law! She is similar to her mother in that she is always kind and considerate of others. She is a great mom to her two kids, Sammy and Gabe. She is an excellent nurse at Primary Children’s Medical Center. She loves the outdoors and plays on a coed hockey team. Needless to say, she is tough! I always enjoy any time I get to spend with Lori and her family. Happy, Happy Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BFG!!

Wally turns forty-eight years young today. I say 'young' because he truly is a kid at heart! He has a youthful attitude and enthusiasm for life. He had the challenge of starting a new job this year, a job that was completely different than anything he has done in the recent past. I am so proud of him for stepping up to the plate, taking on this new and sometimes frustrating adventure, and still maintaining his Wally-like attitude. It has been a difficult year so far with him on the road as much as he is, but he puts everything he has into this job and more. We will be grateful when he is able to find something closer to home (and by that I mean closer to me!) I love and appreciate him for the sweet husband that he is!! He is so thoughtful and kind to me even when I am not. He is positive, outgoing, and a great friend to all of his buddies. He is a sweet son who adores his mother and his family. He is a supportive, loving father and a fun grandpa. All around, he is a pretty super guy!

Happy 12th Birthday, Derek!! You are such a great kid! I love your enthusiasm for sports, especially baseball. You are smart, funny, talented, sweet, and all around awesome! I love how kind you are to your little sister, Megan. She looks up to you so much and I can't think of a better role model for her than you! We are so proud of you for who you are and the choices you make each day. Your Uncle Wally loves to talk sports with you and to watch your games when he is in town. When he isn't there, he is always cheering for you from his truck! You're a great nephew who gives me reason to be proud each and every day!
